Shopping Cart
The VDG Shopping System uses an intuitive online store interface for familiarity and ease of use. The simple "Add to Cart" and "Checkout" functionality allow customers to easily select products and purchase online. Rather than requiring a customer to create an account in order to purchase, we make sure you get a sale first. If a customer chooses to create an account, their username and password gives them access to past orders and order status.

Authorize.NET Payment Gateway 
We use and recommend Authorize.Net for online credit card processing. Features include Address Verification, Card Security Code, and other fraud protection services. Customers are notified immediately if there is a problem with their card—and you can be confident all your orders are valid. We’ll guide you through the setup process and connect your store to your bank.

Transaction Emails
After making a purchase, your customer immediately receives a receipt by email. A printable receipt page is also available via their web browser. The customer is automatically emailed when an order is fulfilled or voided.

SSL Encryption 
All personal data and transactions are encrypted for transport to and from the server. We will set up your domain with your own SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate.

Tax Calculations
The store supports separate tax rates for each U.S. State (or by zip code for city or county taxes). Assign states where certain products are taxable. Allow taxing of shipping & handling for different states.

Shipping Integration
Real-time UPS & FedEx shipping costs. Add in your base shipping cost to account for special packaging or handling. Allow local customers the option to pick up their purchase at your store without incurring shipping fees.

Custom Payment Options
If you need more than credit card processing, our system can accommodate custom payment options such as e-checks, account numbers, COD, Bill Me, or any other special arrangement your business may need.

Product Search
Advanced Boolean search capability runs on any combination of price, category and/or keywords, or integrate Google Custom Search.

Cross Promotions
The shopping system can recommend related items to customers as they "Add to Cart". The recommendation can be based on one item just placed in the cart, or on all items currently in the cart.

Email a Friend
If a customer wants to share your product info with someone else, they can send the product's detail page to their friend using the "Email a Friend" feature. We also offer tools for sharing links via major social networking sites.

Notify me when back in stock
If an item is out of stock, customers can sign up to receive an email when the item becomes available again.

Optional Gift Message
Upon checking out, customers can enter a special gift message for the recipient. Other optional checkout options are also available.

Constant Contact Integration
Each order adds the customer's email address to a database for email marketing. This database is easily integrated with Constant Contact, our recommended email marketing tool. We will setup an account at Constant Contact for you!

Coupons and Gift Codes
Run specials for specified time period, advertised on the store home and throughout the site. Gift certificates and gift codes can be used to purchase items, or users can purchase a gift certificate and send it to a friend. Coupon codes can be assigned to individual users, or general users for a specified time period.

Give your users a free gift or dollar-amount/percentage discounts when they reach different order values. Quantity breaks are also available per product or per category. Customer Groups (logged-in users) may receive special discounts or wholesale pricing for their group.
