Website Redesign: City of Wabasha
Vision Design Group announces the launch of a redesigned website for the City of Wabasha, Minnesota. Wabasha is located on the Mississippi River, about 75 miles south of of St. Paul, MN and holds the distinction of the oldest city in Minnesota.
The City of Wabasha website is an important resource for Wabasha residents and visitors alike. With this website, residents have access to education, recreation, leisure, employment opportunities and housing information as well as contact information for the city’s government buildings and offices.
This project included updating the old website for a better user experience. Our team redesigned the website for a better experience for both mobile and desktop users. The redesign also includes a more interactive look and feel. For example, The static images on the old homepage have now been replaced with a crisp drone video that highlights many of the beautiful areas of Wabasha including the National Eagle Center, historic downtown, and the marina that connects the community to the mighty Mississippi River.
As part of the project, visitor traffic was analyzed. Changes in the menus and navigation were made to improve the visitor experience. The final touch included an ADA plugin for greater website friendliness.
